Color Code Decision Tree

Below is a visual representation of the process that the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Santa Monica Seafood go through to assign a species, farm or fishery to a particular sustainability color code. The color code system used by Santa Monica seafood utilizes the 4 primary colors designated by the MBA (green, yellow, red and grey) but also includes the color “Blue” as noted below.
